Variable Interest Rate is 8.5%, Typical APR is 8.86%. Minimum borr owings €100 – maximum is dependent on repayment capacity. Minimum duration is 1 month – maximum is dependent on the purp ose of the loan. Loans require a minimum share balance to be retained until the loan is cleared in full. Warning: if you do not meet the repayments on your loan, your account will go into arrears. This may affect your credit rating, which ma y limit your ability to access credit in the future.

Important Notice for Mobile/Tablet Users

If you are a cuAnywhere Mobile/Tablet user please note the following:

The cuAnywhere App was removed from the Google Play & Apple App stores from May 31st 2021, meaning the App will no longer function after this date. Members are no longer be able to carry out any actions including viewing their account via the app at this time.

Over the coming months we will be implementing a new IT system within Credit Union Plus. One of the features of the new system will be an improved digital experience which will include a new Mobile App.

You can still use cuOnline!

You will need to log in via our webpage through the browser on your mobile device and log in with your user ID and password. You will receive a One Time Passcode (OTP) each time you log in to verify your identity. We have provided an instructional video to show you how this is done and is a instructional guide to show you how to save the cuOnline shortcut to home screen.

Proof of Identification Requirements

New members looking to open an account or members looking to reactivate an account, need to provide the original of one Photo ID and one Proof of Address from the below listings.

Suitable Proof of Photographic Identification:

  • Current Valid Signed Passport/ Passport Card
  • Current Valid EU/EEA Driving Licence – must contain photograph (Irish Provisional accepted)
  • Current EU National Identity Card

Suitable Proof of Address:

Documents issued to the home address must be dated within the past 6 months and issue date visible.Note: Electronic bank statements are acceptable and must be the 1st page of the electronic statement. Screenshots of online banking are acceptable where the member’s address is visible and a transaction visible is within one month of the account opening/update date.

  • Utility Bill e.g., telephone, mobile, gas, electricity, heating, oil, waste collection (where a utility bill is a first bill, a second form of address verification is required)
  • Correspondence from a Regulated Financial Institution operating in the Republic of Ireland (Insurance / Assurance Co., Bank, Building Society, Credit Card Company, Pension Provider)
  • Correspondence from the Department of Social Protection, Revenue Commissioners, HSE, local authority/county council, Driver’s license if not used for ID and issued within 6 months of application
  • Additional documents can be accepted for 3rd Level Students – CEO acceptance form, letter from recognised school or college – the document must be dated within the last six months

Note: The name on your photographic identification (e.g. name on your passport) must exactly match the name on your proof of address (e.g. full name on your gas bill) Note: it cannot be the Irish or any other language version of a name on one form and not the other.

New Account opening for members aged under 18:

  • Members Birth Cert/legal guardianship must be provided along with
  • One form of Identification from the above list for the parent/guardian and
  • One Proof of address from the above list for the parent/guardianNote: In–branch only, and parent/guardian must be present.
  • Online applications will be accepted from age 16 upwards, however if member is unable to provide ownID/PoA as per guidelines above, they will be contacted to arrange an appointment to open a/c in–branch.

Car Draw Rules

What information can I access?

Any member (over the age of 18) of Credit Union Plus can now register to become an online member. Unfortunately association accounts (groups / clubs etc.) cannot be registered.

Agre restriction

All entrants must be over 18 years of age and participation in the draw is limited to members of Credit Union Plus. There may only be one entry per account.

Application and Authorisation Form

An Application and Authorisation Form for entry to the draw must be completed in full prior to participation, no entry is valid unless the member’s ID and proof of address has been validated and the entrance fee is paid in advance. Entry to the car draw implies acceptance of these rules as being final and legally binding. A register of entrants will be maintained at the Credit Union Plus offices. Members who do not wish to remain in the draw must notify Credit Union Plus of their intention in writing. Members cease to participate in the draw on death or on the closing of their account with Credit Union Plus.

Entrance Fee

The entrance fee is €1 per week which will be collected quarterly in advance or as defined from time to time by the Board. Members joining the draw after the commencement date will participate from the beginning of the following quarter. A member will be ineligible to enter the draw if there are not available funds in their account to meet the quarterly subscription or if there are any arrears or default of payment on their account. A member deemed ineligible to enter the draw at any time must complete a new car draw application form to re-enter the draw.

Winner Notification

Winning members will be notified by telephone or in writing and their names and photographs may be published in the local media, social and digital media, publications and displayed in Credit Union Plus branches. Prize winners must provide up to date ID & address verification if not already on file before any prizes are paid out.

Prize Conditions

The make and type of car or other prize will be at the sole discretion of Credit Union Plus. Cash may be given in lieu at the discretion of Credit Union Plus.

Liability

Credit Union Plus, its Directors, Volunteers or Employees will not be liable for any defects, mechanical or otherwise that may be found in the vehicles or other prizes supplied. Cars supplied will be subject to the normal warranty issued by the manufacturers.

Credit Union Employee Eligibility

Board Directors, Board Oversight Committee, Volunteers and Employees are eligible to enter the draw just like any other member.
