History and ethos

We’ve Been at the heart of your community for over 60 years!

Credit Union Plus has been serving the Navan area since 1963, and from Day 1, the role we play has remained absolutely constant – to serve our community through the provision of affordable and accessible finance.

About Us

We are run by our members for our members, with a friendly, personal ethos that you simply won’t find anywhere else. None of our Directors are paid for their efforts, and there are no demanding investor shareholders to be satisfied.  Apart from the friendly, traditional values that you associate with a Credit Union, we also offer a highly sophisticated service, including instant online access to your account and a convenient mobile app for when you’re on the move.

Also, there’s the peace of mind of knowing that should you die during the course of a loan period, your loan will die with you* and based on your savings and age at death, we will top up your savings regardless of your savings history – up to a maximum of €12,000 in benefit.

Peace of Mind

With a Government Guarantee on Shares up to €100,000, Free Loan Protection Insurance, Free Life Plus Savings Benefit & an optional Bereavement Benefit at just €125 per annum to provide peace of mind to members and their families Credit Union Plus members can rest assured we have them covered.

Highly sympathetic

We’re also highly sympathetic when the unexpected happens. Should you lose your job, for example, we’ll happily sit down and talk with you in a constructive and supportive manner, with a view to working out a repayment schedule that’s realistic and sustainable. If you are having problems in that regard you can talk with us in confidence. We’re here to help. Phone us at 046 90 21395 and discuss your situation with our experienced credit control team, or better still, call in to the office for a face to face discussion. Don’t delay contacting us with arrears building up, this will only make the problem worse. We’re here to discuss your situation in confidence and will work with you to agree a plan for making repayments. It will help greatly if you can bring all your documentation with you, such as payslips (including social welfare payments) and details of any other commitments you may have. We will also continue to work closely with consumer bodies and voluntary organisations such as MABS (Money Advice & Budgeting Service). Visit www.mabs.ie for more info on their service.

The bottom line?

If you’re in the market for a loan or any other financial product or service, why not keep it local? It’s a great deal for you – and a great deal for your community at the same time.
